Sponsored silence
Everyone in the college (including me and my group) have been asked to do something in the area of 'sponsoring' for the Haiti appeal further to when the country was hit by an Earthquake. Of course, I have chosen to do a sponsored silence as part of the Haiti appeal and I've done a couple of sponsor sheets where you can sign your name and the amount of money you will pay me. Of course, because I can't feature a sponsor sheet on here, I request you leave your name and the amount of money as a comment below this post (remember, don't send me any money. I am not allowed to put my address and postcode on the internet. Just pretend to pay me). And don't forget, you're doing all this to sponsor me doing the sponsored silence as part of the college's action to raise money for the Haiti appeal!
Strictly in love
It's all happened on Strictly Come Dancing when couple after couple have seemed to fall in love from on the dancefloor. Had Julian Clary & Jill Halfpenny and Joe Calzaghe and Kristina Rihanoff hadn't been enough, we've now got christmas special champions Ali Bastian and Brian Fortuna with a spark between them. We feel sorry for Brucie & Tess for having to actually face what's going on, and the judges probably haven't liked the sight of kissing and petting either. But if this is how it's going to turn out, it might aswell be called Strictly Love Dancing!
Pottery assessment
I knew the worst was to come when unfortunately today I had to be assessed by Helen Middlemas in pottery. There was no worrying about it after all, as all I had to do was prepare myself with PPE (personal protective equipment) and recognise some tools, get the tools, collect and prepare the clay, etc and make a basic coil pot or vase. I did so and it was a fare comment on the evidence presented. The most important thing was I got all 4s in the boxes... Not one bit on the assessment I have to do again. Even though I had trouble recognising what's called rolling pin guides (guide sticks), I still got all 4s! Including for clearing my area appropriately

Request after request
Exploring MySpace today, I've been bombarded with friend request after friend request. Some of them have typed out messages along with the request. Quite rightly, I've approved of each request, but the one I got off Street Fighter Team I denied. Just incase they turned out to be a spammer friend similar to Irene R Hoskins whom I blocked. I'm going to have to start being very careful somedays! What if I end up with 50 friend requests in a day?
Dark chocolate eater
For decades, I've always been dying of some dark chocolate such as Cadbury's bournville. And nobody has known until now how much I like it. If I can afford it, I will get my hands on it. For years now, I've been eating dark chocolate what I've been dying for. And it's the gorgeous taste of it by Cadbury that makes me like it so much!
I AM NOT ON FACEBOOK!
This is just a reminder for those people who think I am on Facebook. ICT lecturer Kerry Barker went through everyone's facebook accounts in the college this morning, and this is apparant that a bucketload of my group is definitely on Facebook. With this the case, I will definitely not join it because I'm frightened people will get to find out. However, the other day after that I received a notification about an event started by Amy Webster who I'm friends with on MySpace and believe it or not the title was: Add me on Facebook. I have pressed I WILL NOT ATTEND and will send her a profile comment saying I am not on Facebook!
Gary, Gary & Gary
It's fair to say now I've gone from one fancy bloke to the other and it's hard which to go for when the one you've fancied before is a lot more sexier currently. But now Take That star Gary Barlow has came into the limelight and Phil is being tried to be long forgotten. But with him currently sexy, it's old vs new. I think Gary is the one I should go for now though!
Phil gets a chocolate doughnut!
Phillip Schofield was in for quite a surprise this week when during his 2 hour break from the skate-off, he found a chocolate doughnut had been waiting for him in his dressing room! Of course, after two weeks in a row he found himself picking out the random custard doughnut, it looks like the producer is apologising to the poor silver fox by delivering him just what he wanted come his skate-off break... A doughnut filled with chocolate!
Spam gets too much
It's getting to the point now I'm getting so sick of spam I have actually contacted yahoo costumer care twice in a row. First I contacted them on christmas eve, got a response a couple of days after and they just gave me some useful tips to try. Including ''don't respond to spammers'' which I don't anyway, so what's the difference. Again, this year, I contacted them about the same complaint, tried to ''broad'' the complaint to make it a bit understandable this year for them, and anyway I must have done, because I got a different response saying ''I understand you want to stop spam landing to your e-mail address''. It was a long e-mail, I can't say on here what it said in full, but they helped me a ''tad bit'' this time!
Hayley's the birthday girl!
Dancing on Ice couldn't have gotten off to a more banging start as also yesterday Emmerdale babe Hayley Tamaddon turned 33! And wasn't she well chuffed when she found out she was spending her birthday skating with childhood friend Daniel, and Holly and Phil even put a pair of ice skates on her birthday cake they got especially for her!
Jeremy's out!
Last night the remaining 12 contestants left in Holly & Phil's ice dance class this year skated their hearts out in an attempt to impress Karen Barber, Nicky Slater, Jason Gardiner, Emma Bunton, Robin Cousins and the voting public. Of course, as per usual, come the skate-off, one of them had to hang up their skates and leave the ice for good. And this week Jeremy Sheffield was in for the boot as he found himself up against olympic swimmer Sharron Davies. all 5 chose to save Sharron when I guessed she was going to be out of the competition with it being the second time of ending up in the skate-off... What the public are thinking these days I don't know!

Song I'm crazy about lands into the top 25!
We are unable to believe that the songs December 1963 (Oh What A Night!), You're Still The One, Pray, Truly Madly Deeply and Scar Tissue were only added last year, but we did say one would end up in the top 25... Played god knows how many times. Sure enough, one has ended up in the top 25. Played 75 times, and it ever so happens to be the one from 1975. The one I am utterly crazy about. And that song is: December 1963 (Oh What A Night!).
Here is the amount of how many times each song has been played:
December 1963 (Oh What A Night!) = 75
You're Still The One = 63
Pray = 37
Truly Madly Deeply = 15
Scar Tissue = 9
You can tell these 4 songs don't stand a chance, unless they're played more!

Phil's Dancing on Ice curses!
Poor Phillip Schofield has two curses on Dancing on Ice this year. One broken, one continuing. And we can announce the one that is broken is the unlucky number green. On Sunday last week, former actor Gary Lucy wore green as he skated to the song Alright Now, and it was just enough to keep the actor out of the skate-off as entertainer Bobby Davro was in blue but was given the chop. The most worrying curse though, is to deep concern to Phil, because everytime there is a tray of Doughnuts he pulls out the random custard one.... When in actual fact he wants a jam one! He said on his blog this may be some sick, evil plot, but whatever it is it has to stop. We totally agree on that, Phil!
Finally working!
I couldn't believe when the iTunes software worked out of the blue. The trouble is, I thought it was never going to import.... I thought I'd be in big trouble, thinking 'I'll never get any albums'. Of course, just as I went to put my latest fancy bloke Gary Barlow's song on, I found out it just started to do it! So after all, I got Westlife's new record Where We Are and The Saturdayts's new album Wordshaker to make up for it! And it had imported! Ta-dah!
Almost fainted! (In ASDA)
Who would of thought that there are times when I almost pass out due to heat, exhaustion and a dry throat? That's what happens, and because it's been a long time since I had a drink, that's how it works out. Plus the amount of clothing I had on at the same time would've probabl caused it because there's been past occassions that's how it's turned out.... But with this becoming a regular thing, I think it's becoming a problem!
Kev & Jess expecting baby number two!
Only last year, former Dancing on Ice contestant Jessica Taylor gave birth to her and Kevin's first baby son, Thomas, now a year and a half old. Now word has it the couple are expecting baby number two, which starts the new year off with a bang. Shellshocked Jessica, who found out just yesterday via a pregnancy test, is really thrilled to be expecting a brother or sister for her current son! So thrilled, infact, that she cried into husband Kev's chest!
Kevin's the dad!
Nothing couldn't of more spoilt the length of times soapbabe Claire Cooper and Kevin Sacre have been going out with each other, but something has. Hollyoaker Claire has found out that Kevin's the dad of her pal Jennifer Biddall's baby. The result? Claire's left him in total fury, which just leaves Kevin and Claire together until the baby's born. Will Claire be able to convince Kevin he's done that to her pal?

Starting to cry.... (From seeing an advert on TV)
I don't know what was suddenly up with me this morning. One minute I was enjoying Holly & Phil, the next this advert came on the telly about a website that lets you discover people and when Holly and Phil came back on I started to well up and cry. I don't know how I did it, or whether the advert DID cause it, but it strikes me I must've been thinking of something I shouldn't of been after seeing that advert because a couple a minutes after I was back to my happy self!
Gary's back pain
It can't of got off to a more bad start for Take That singer Gary Barlow, As he's woke up this morning and found he's got a throbbing pain in his lower back. His wife Dawn popped to the chemist and bought a packet of Deep Heat patches, one of which he's got on, followed by giving him a gentle massage. He may get better over time. But will he be alright or will a trip to the doctors have to occur?

Not a good look, Phil!
As we all would have guessed, Phil is on supporting something for a worthy cause, and in return he got given a red wooly hat, which the silver fox was asked to try on! Of course, he didn't hesitate to post it on twitpic to share with us all. Here he is, trying on his wooly hat he got given from the people running the worthy cause he's supporting. That's really not a good look, Phil!
Bobby's out!
Last night saw the boys of 2010 take to the ice. And whilst all 7 put the effort into their performances following training, one of them had to go. And come the skate-off, as luck would have it, the tables turned, and Bobby Davro found himself in the bottom two with Gary Lucy. Of course, the judges voted annoymously to keep Gary in the competition, which meant Bobby Davro was sent packing... We couldn't of been anymore right at this guess, as we guessed Bobby would end up out of the competition anyway!
Quick spaghetti recipe
On saturday, I was given a recipe from Peter Clark (@ThunderThumbs) on twitter about a spaghetti that was farely quick to cook. Though I received 7 direct messages. The trouble is nobody will catch me cooking. So, if you fancy whipping up a meal via this recipe I received, follow it up as per the instructions below (You need a packet of spaghetti)
1. Cook a portion of spaghetti in a pan as the instructions on the packet. While that's cooking, chop two rashers of smoked bacon and fry it.
2. When the bacon starts to brown, add a few sliced mushrooms and a handful of frozen peas.
3. Once the spaghetti is cooked, drain it and add it to the pan with the bacon & peas in.
4. Mix it round, then add two or three teaspoons of Sacia Green Pesto (from a jar) and stir it round to mix in. Serve with grated parmesan cheese.
5. When you drain the spaghetti also, keep the liquid. Then add a few spoons of liquid at the end if it's too dry.
Leave your comment here stating how helpful you came to of found this recipe!

Gary & Mark get drunk
Take That fellas Gary Barlow and Mark Owen were branded ''responsible'' men by their wives, but now they have something to regret as the pair get drunk while drinking far too much vodka at the pub this friday night - which has resulted in the pair having to go home and sober up in the shower.... What a shame, they've completely spoilt themselves!
Hands up for Dancing on Ice friday!
Is there times when you feel empty when Phillip Schofield & Holly Willoughby sign off on sunday? Want to have an extra fix of Dancing on Ice every now and again? Well don't fret, because every friday, last year's semi-finalist Coleen Nolan and GMTV fella Ben Shephard will be here bringing you all the latest goss from the rink on Dancing on Ice Friday. Of course, you can get in touch with them too by calling 09011 11 33 77. Calls cost 25p from BT landlines (and remember this, otherwise you'll have a thousand pound phone bill through your letterbox). Calls from other networks may be higher and from mobiles may be considerably more. Lines close on Thursday 25th of March at 5pm. Calls made after lines close won't be considered or counted but might still be charged. If you're a young teenager, please get the bill payer's permission before you call. You can also tweet an @reply by following Dancing on Ice on twitter and your comment may appear on the show (providing it's an @reply tweet). Don't miss a minute! Tune in at 8pm if you want all news from the rink!

Recipe to disaster
Can you believe yet another thing has happened? Infact, two things. Firstly I find the freeview is off, making my plan to see Phillip Schofield & Holly Willoughby go up in smoke - again - and secondly, I start iTunes to put something on the ipod and it comes up to download software 9.2. Quere enough, I agree to download the new software but something makes me wish I hadn't. As I attempt to put my fancy bloke Gary Barlow's solo song Forever Love onto the ipod, I fill in the information, press 'import CD' and something very strange happens. For some reason it doesn't import the song I'm trying to put on! Whether it does this with every song I try to add your guesses is as good as mine, but it looks like something has gone horribly wrong and the plans to put new songs on the ipod and see Phil & Holly again on TV have consistantly, dilberately, accidently, gone up into nothing but the sky!

Phil or Gary?
...Or should that be whichever fancy bloke I find the cutest? There will be some people who think Phillip Schofield really is at number 2, but with that sexy look, he chance to end up back in first place! The list of fancy blokes have differed differently compared to last year's and there is some I've gone off from by a mile.... But who do you think I should go for? Phillip Schofield or Take That singer Gary Barlow? Come on, it has to be one...
Voicemail rejected!
It is really weird when you try to activate the voicemail on the sagem phone. Because it comes up waiting for an answer and then.... Rejected. What will I do if people happen to try and leave a message when I refuse to answer the phone? I'm thinking of getting on to T-mobile but knowing from past experience they'll be no help, so there's no point... Do you think it's maybe because there's no credit on it?
Cheese pasties or Apple Charlotte?
Today in catering a very new idea was thought into the heads of Christine Clark and Diane White. They suggested (wether I wanted to or not) I make an apple charlotte and then, because I'm in catering til 12:15pm, I was also asked to make myself cheese pasties to take home. With grated cheese. (mind you this is not for useless cooks). Follow up the recipes below:
FOR THE CHEESE PASTIES:
*Grated cheese
*Egg wash
Method:
1. Grate the cheese
2. Roll the pastry into a square shape
3. Roll the pastry over once the cheese is inside, covering the cheese
4. Splash the tops with egg wash
5. Put on a baking tray and leave to cook
FOR THE APPLE CHARLOTTE:
*1 Apple
*1 peeler
*225gr plain flour
*225gr margarine
*225gr sugar
Method:
1. Peel the apple with either a knife or peeler, turning it round as you peel. Start off with the apple in quarters, then gradually cut it into bits.
2. Once you've cut the apple into bits, fill a bowl with water and put the bits of the apple into the bowl of water.
3. Leave your apple bits in the bowl of water while you roll the pastry.
4. In your main bowl, weigh out 225gr plain flour to start with. Then follow with 225gr margarine, then follow with 225gr brown sugar.
5. Knead it with your hands until it's like pastry, then put in the egg (sorry, you also need 1 egg in the recipe, too)
6. Beat the egg with a spoon and mix
7. Line your tray with the pastry.
8. Put in the wet apples
9. Put the sponge on top, covering the apples.
10. Leave to cook for 2-5 minutes on a baking tray
11. Then comes the best bit - Eat it or leave for later.
Hope this recipe is helpful, it's took hours to remember and compile!

Holly hits the headlines again!
This year, Phillip Schofield's girlfriend Holly Willoughby is back to her bust again - and the guilt is tearing through her as she hits the headlines about her DDD boobs. It can be very depressing for a girl Holly's age, but Phil quipps she should be allowed to wear anything she likes. Does this picture show her being glammed up and does just showing a tiny bit of her chest hurt?

Shake a tail feather, Hayley!
It's fair to say how proud we all are that Hayley Tamaddon has survived the ''lady's'' night. Just like Roxanne Pallet, she is skating with Daniel Whiston. And it becomes apparant that if Emmerdale babes get Daniel Whiston, there's always a 99% chance of survival (let's be honest if Hayley wins this will be the second for pro-skater Daniel despite 2006's winner Gaynor Faye) but we can all bet after eight weeks, just like Roxanne, she ends up in a dreadful skate-off and going home as a result! But we'll see how it turns out. Will she get to the final? Will she not? Let's believe if she does she chance to be up against Boyzone fella Mikey Graham. Last night saw us cross our fingers incase she was in the skate-off after her performance to Shake A Tail Feather. Indeed, we'd all like to see Hayley Tamaddon shake a tail feather, as we're certainly supporting this girl to make it all the way to the final without fail!
Sinitta's out!
Our question has been answered as to whether Phil & Holly were going to have a battle of the sexes like they did last year. Sure enough they did and Hayley Tamaddon, Sinitta, Sharron Davies, Emily Atack, Daniella Westbrook & Tana Ramsay nervously but surely took to the ice. They were all a bag of nerves, but who'd of guessed come the skate-off one girl didn't go any further. And that girl had to be Iconic 80s singer Sinitta. After her performance to Beyonce's Halo, it became apparant that the years ago singer failed to impress the public come what they call the ''lady-off''. What was shocking more is she was evicted with the exact same partner as Gemma Bissix had last year!

Alison Sharman gives birth
ITV factual and daytime manager Alison Sharman had a treat to deal with last night when at 11:30pm on the dot, her waters broke! And she hadn't even moved to set it off. The worst part was the baby was too inpatient to give Alison's husband Andy a chance to race her to hospital! So instead, This Morning executive producer Fiona Keenaghan was given a call, having she been Alison's mate for a long time. Two hours later, the ITV manager had given birth to a baby girl she's named Katie weighing 9lb 2oz. And it all happened last night

Feeling sickly
I don't know what's wrong with me today but I don't feel like eating. I was lucky if I got through some quality street this afternoon but it appears to be that all I want is a drink. Drinking here, drinking there. It might be something to do with the heat, but it feels awful, and I've also got a headache as per usual. Nothing seems to get rid of it
Dancing on Ice 2010 advert
It feels like just yesterday Holly & Phil were laughing at Coleen Nolan & Todd Carty as they were on the ice, but now 2010's dance class is on the way and we don't know whether you've seen this on TV, but just incase, the video is below for you to watch. Tomorrow, 6:45pm, 14 famous faces will hit the ice and try to impress Holly & Phil in the best way possible! But for one, it'll not last long...
Just incase you didn't get to see it on TV, here it is:
In the meantime, can someone tell us whether the pair are having a battle of the sexes?

Joy for Alison Sharman!
ITV factual and Daytime manager Alison Sharman is again expecting. Because it's new year, she's now having baby number two. And it's joy for her and her husband all around, as on Thursday at 1:15pm, she had her scan at the hospital to determine what she was having... And came out the happiest woman alive after the midwife announced she's having a girl!

Brandon breaks his wrist!
It's drama for The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers after he slipped on some ice in Vegas - after he went out to the Vegas shop to get the shopping in. His wife Tana stayed in the house, now she wishes she had reason to dread as before long, Brandon hit the skids and went down flat! Putting his arm down to save himself.... But it turned out tragic when his arm went underneath him. Tana helped him up, took him to the Vegas hospital and found he'd not just sprained his wrist - but broke it tragically. What a way for 2010 to start

DANCING ON ICE: Next week
Holly & Phil launch Dancing on Ice next week and you'd agree the line-up they have is a corker! This time the pair have 14 taking part who include Bobby Davro, Gary Lucy, Jeremy Sheffield, Hilary Jones (the GMTV doc), Kieron Richardson, Mikey Graham, Danny Young, Hayley Tamaddon, Sharron Davies, Daniella Westbrook, Iconic 80s singer Sinitta, Tana Ramsay, Emily Atack from The Inbetweeners and Paul McCartney's ex Heather Mills. Rest assured Phil says the first one he'll chuck out will be Heather, but the question awaits us as to who will follow in the footsteps of 2006's winner Gaynor Faye, 2007's winner Kyran Bracken, 2008's winner Suzanne Shaw and last year 2009's winner Ray Quinn?
*Make sure you watch the launch show, this Friday, 8th January, on ITV1, where you'll get the chance to meet the new judge and find out what's happening aswell as finding out who's competing on the rink. On friday, 9pm*

Gary's got news..... His wife Dawn's pregnant!
It's a happy new year for Take That singer Gary (the one I'm currently crazy about) as the pair are in for a very special new year gift.... On new year's eve, his wife Dawn Andrews (who used to be his band's backing singer) had took a pregnancy test and found out she's pregnant! Yes, Dawn has a baby girl inside her tummy.... And Gary is thrilled he is about to become a dad for the third time. Though he may have to drop out of Take That, as he predicts the baby will come early as his other two previous kids
Gemma gives birth on new year's eve
Crazy about.... Gary
The result is revealed as to which band front man I'm crazy about from the music business... Mind you there is still a soft spot for Phillip Schofield as he's dropped down to number two, but it has to be said the one I'm crazy about mainly is Take That's Gary Barlow. He's reached the number one slot this year. Having said that, there is still time before that changes, but the list of fancy blokes below will tell you how it stands at the moment...
TOP FANCY FLAVOURS:
1 - Gary Barlow (Take That)
2 - Phillip Schofield
3 - Brandon Flowers (The Killers)
4 - Roy Stride (Scouting For Girls)
5 - Ricky Wilson (Kaiser Chiefs)
6 - Andrew White (Kaiser Chiefs, formely Whitey)
7 - Chris Moyles
8 - Dave Keuning (The Killers)
9 - Alan Fletcher (former Neighbours actor, follow him @doctorkk on twitter)
10 - Gregor Fisher (formely known as Rab C Nesbitt)
That is how it stands at the moment. The odds about being crazy about Gary Barlow are 6/1

The tenties begin....
As we are out of the noughties and into the tenties, one fact is I couldn't be more happier that I have finally got the songs I've wanted on for all this time onto the ipod, and another fact is I certainly have another fancy bloke as flavour of the year. Instead of a telly fella, this time it's one of the band front men. Which one have I really got as the flavour of 2010? Is it Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony, Scouting For Girls frontman Roy, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky, The Killers frontman Brandon or Take That frontman Gary? Either have a guess by leaving your comment, or we'll put a post up and let you find out who it is along with the image of that fella!
New year, new post
Feeling really unreal at the moment. The question as to where has 2009 gone is spinning round in my head. Anyway, you can have fun on this blog and look back at the posts from last year, as there will be plenty to come this year. This is 2010's first post... Lets see if I can reach as much I did with last year!
